Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a phrase that describes systems that integrate the activities of all the groups throughout an enterprise. ERP systems are typically software based, and are specially designed to integrate the diverse types of work produced in an array of departments, like sales, product development, operations, marketing departments, customer service etc.
