Decision Support System

A decision support system (DSS) refers to computer programs that cull and analyze data, helping users make better decisions. Commonly used in business, DSS’ supplement human analytical and decision making abilities by gathering and assessing more data than a human could possibly process—though there is often a human element to DSS, at very least on the level of programming.
