Data Loss Prevention

Data loss prevention software (DLP software) is programming that prevents unauthorized access to data within a system. To protect data, DLP closely monitors and blocks data designated as sensitive, whether that data is in transit, permanently archived in a database, or temporarily residing on a network computer for quick retrieval or modification. DLPs help businesses to make sure that users do not share sensitive information, whether by accident or otherwise.
