Dictionary Term

Content Management

Content management is the formalized effort of any organization to oversee the creation, structuring, distribution and disposal of data. Though content management administrates all types of data—including content recorded on paper, videocassettes, audiocassettes, etc.—the vast majority of data is now digital. For this reason, today’s content management requires sophisticated software, built to handle massive amounts of information.
