Microsoft SQL Server

Microsoft SQL Server

Microsoft SQL Server is an in-memory RDBMS from the Microsoft Corporation. It is built to be personalized to a variety of very specific users types—there are upwards of a dozen distinct editions of the Server built to handle specialized tasks and workloads. At its core, however, the function of Microsoft SQL Server is to handle storage and access to data for desktop and online applications. More advanced editions of the software give users the ability to build applications on their own and deploy in the cloud.
