Infinispan is a data store that can handle concurrent processing in a network with a multi-core architecture. It has found wide use as an object database and a cache for distributed systems, as well as a data store. Infinispan is written in Java, but can be used on non-JVM platforms by implementing a binary, language neutral protocol called Hot Rod.
