Hypertable

Hypertable

Hypertable is a database system that performs the storage and processing of big data, similar to Apache HBase, with one of the greatest differences being that Hypertable hosts a query cache. The entire database is written in C++ and runs in tandem with a distributed file system.

Hypertable was originally created by Doug Judd and a team of software architects at event search firm Zvents (now owned by StubHub) to model Google Bigtable. After its initial build, the database was released as an open source system.
