Hortonworks is a company that develops software to support the use of Hadoop, enabling distributed data processing across computer networks.
The centerpiece of Hortonworks’ software is a platform called HDP2 (Hortonworks Data Platform 2), a Hadoop solution that facilitates interactive, online, stream and batch data processing. Hortonworks product offerings also include HDP2 for Windows and HPD Sandbox.
