Cetas is software owned by data management and analytics company, Pivotal. Cetas software is used for conducting big data analysis and predictive analytics in the cloud. Designed for the business user, Cetas facilitates real-time and ad-hoc data analysis and sophisticated pattern extraction.

Cetas began as an independent software company, Cetas Software Inc., which was incubated at Clearstone Venture Partners. Within a year of its founding, Cetas Software was acquired by VMware, which later merged with EMC Corporation to form Pivotal.
