Apache Cassandra is an open source, NoSQL database management system that accommodates data across multiple servers. Cassandra offers a low latency experience for users, as well as asynchronous masterless replication.

Other features of Apache Cassandra include: easy data distribution, transaction support, peer-to-peer symmetric nodes, automatic data partitioning, elastic scalability and continuous availability ensuring no single point of failure.
