Premier Data Integration Conference in Las Vegas to Feature Keynotes from Informatica CEO Sohaib Abbasi and Rick Smolan, Author of The Human Face of Big Data

Redwood City, Calif., May 08, 2013 –
Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world’s number one independent provider of data integration software, today announced that its annual user conference, Informatica World 2013, will feature keynote presentations from Informatica chairman and CEO, Sohaib Abbasi, and Rick Smolan, creator of the best-selling “Day in the Life” books and most recently The Human Face of Big Data, which captures the current big data revolution impacting all aspects of everyday life. The conference (register here), now in its 13th year, will be held June 4-7, 2013 at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Informatica World 2013 is the premier data integration event for developers, data scientists, partners, executives and others to learn about the trends and leading technologies that enable organizations to gain a competitive advantage. The theme of this year’s conference is Put Potential to Work.

While at Informatica World attendees will learn how to drive innovation and create business value with their data, as well as discuss the latest on big data and Hadoop, learn about Informatica’s newest products, hear about the Cloud Summer release and debate the latest trends around hybrid IT, master data management and the Internet of Things.

There will also be pre-conference education, a Hands on Lab, six breakout tracks, over 100 expert-led sessions, exciting keynotes and lots of networking opportunities, including Informatica World Platinum sponsors Accenture and Cognizant.

Data integration industry visionary Abbasi will discuss the intricacies of the IT landscape and announce how Informatica’s latest products hide the complexity with new technology to deploy, manage and share information more easily and simply than ever before.

Additional executive keynotes include Informatica’s Ivan Chong, executive vice president, New Markets, and James Markarian, executive vice president and chief technology officer.

Informatica World is also the home of the Informatica Innovation Awards, given out to organizations since 2000, demonstrating leadership in using Informatica solutions to drive innovation and business success. Finalists were announced in April and the winners will be announced at Informatica World on June 5th.
