Master Data Management

AKA:

Master Data Management (MDM) refers to the regulations, processes, and technology that organizations use to maintain order and consistency among the data most crucial to operations, joining all data, in essence, into a single file. MDM can be a massively complex undertaking, and so requires sophisticated technology to achieve. When designed and executed correctly, master data management will completely standardize data, getting rid of duplicates in the system and deleting data errors.
