Dictionary Term

Last In, First Out

AKA:

Last in, first out (LIFO) is a common task management configuration for dealing with transaction requests in computing. With LIFO, requests are placed into chronologically arranged stacks that queue up tasks to be and processed in the order in which they were received—with the most recent request processed first, and the oldest request processed last.

LIFO is the opposite of first in, first out (FIFO), another common task management configuration.
