Dictionary Term

Data Replication

AKA:

Data replication is a process that involves copying all data from its source of origin to a separate source (a disk array, in the cloud, on a server, etc.), and then establishing a system to ensure data synchronicity for all subsequent content creation.

Data replication is a vital task for almost any organization or enterprise as it prevents data loss and helps keep data available in the event of a system crash or severe slow down.
